Oklahoma City—The Oklahoma Women’s Coalition is celebrating its 10th anniversary by honoring its core founders at the 2019 OneVoice Luncheon. The annual OneVoice Luncheon will be held on Thursday, October 17th at 11:30 a.m. at the Embassy Suites Downtown/Medical Center. The Coalition’s Founders – Donna Lawrence, Jan Peery, Pat Potts and Dr. Jean Warner – will be recognized for their contributions and ongoing commitment to improving the quality of life for women and girls in Oklahoma.
“We are honored to have an opportunity to celebrate the legacy of our founders on the Coalition’s 10-year anniversary,” said Liz Charles, Executive Director of the Oklahoma Women’s Coalition. “The Coalition’s founders saw the tremendous need to unite community leaders, elected officials, and advocates with a shared vision for improved statistics and outcomes for women in Oklahoma. They did the integral work of forming an umbrella organization aimed at empowering all of us to engage in issues impacting women and ultimately advocate for gender equity policies that make our state stronger. We owe a debt of gratitude to Jean, Jan, Pat, and Donna, and we are thrilled to have the opportunity to publicly acknowledge and thank them.”
